St. Anthony’s Charity Golf Auction website was probably one of our most unique website stories that we’ve had come through. At Tala, we love working with non-profit organizations so our views were perfectly aligned with what St. Anthony’s Charities goal was in the transition from their in-person golf tournament and silent auction to their online auction due to safety concerns arising from the 2020 pandemic.
Responsive Website Design and Development
In 2020, St. Anthony Charities were faced with a difficult realization – the charity golf tournament/silent auction they had been hosting for nearly the last 2 decades wasn’t going to happen. Due to the pandemic, it was decided that for the safety of all participants and volunteers, switching to an online-only charity auction was going to be necessary.
The volunteers of the St. Anthony Charities board were uncertain of what would happen with the tournament they grew to love supporting over the years. Tala Multimedia offered a fully encompassing solution of design and development to take care of their auction and charity awareness needs. We had weekly collaboration sessions with the St Anthony volunteers and eventually presented them with the website you see today.
Before the charity auction concluded on October 30th, there was a month-long auction where anyone and everyone could bid and buy-it-now on any item you see on the website today!
The volunteers of St. Anthony Charities had expected a lower turnout than usual for their donations, so their initial goal was to hit $15,000 in donations and charity auction item sales. They absolutely demolished that goal and raised over $26,000!
Here’s a little snippet from the home page – we wanted to capture the essence of the past golf tournaments so we utilized one of the tournament-favorite golf courses as the background.
